exocet III

ii flor fina

Fine, fine, fine,
This flower’s so fine.
Strong, strong, strong,
This wind, this storm.
Fine, fine, fine,
In behalf of this wine,
This wine, bitter-sweet wine
Called life.

Only one foot is my left foot,
Only my mind talks to my hand,
They discuss sudden affairs,
They harm and caress.

Tall, tall, tall,
This ship is so tall;
And as I sail her through the night waves
The mast draws pictures in the heavens.

Stiff, oh so stiff,
Sails of canvas, ropes of silk,
Carry my dreams and make them gloom in the land.

All men departed without looking back,
They all know through their journey
They’ll carry their hearts, anyway,
They will look back home everyday.

Fine, fine, fine,
This flower’s so fine.
Strong, strong, strong,
This wind, this storm.
Far, far, far,
We travel so far,
This world, bitter-sweet world
Called love.

No change of winds will detour me,
No distant harbours will hold me,
No matter what I´ll always be back to you.
