El nombre es un accidente: cuando hice la canción “belisarius” estaba leyendo El Conde Belisario de Robert Graves. En realidad la canción no tiene nada que ver con él, aunque sea un personaje muy interesante, sino con la búsqueda de Dios, o Jesucristo, o iluminación o como le quieras llamar, y la canción se llama así porque fue el nombre que le puse a la sesión cuando empecé a trabajar la música. Al final me gustaron la sonoridad y un título que tuviera que ver con cosas distintas y no con la letra como ocurre con el 99.99% de las canciones. Una de esas canciones que salen solas una vez que logras colocar dos o tres acordes en la guitarra. Forma un pequeño tríptico Junto con Flor Fina y Never Stumble.

Una pieza hecha casi solamente de robo y apropiación de otras grabaciones. Solo puse un piano eléctrico y un sinte. Disfeuté mucho haciéndola pero actualmente me aburre un poco… de esas canciones en las que aprietas el “next”.

Me confieso zapatista y éste es un homenaje al EZLN. Fue mi punto de partida cuando empecé la musicalización del documental sobre la caravana zapatista. Es una reinterpretación de una canción de Los Yerberos que ha tenido ya varias versiones.

Sampleos de entrevistas concedidas por el Sub-Comandante marcos a Radio UNAM, del video sobre el levantamiento zapatista del Canal 6 de julio, y del video sobre la Caravana Zapatista de La Maroma Producciones. Además hay voces del Comandante Tacho y de Carlos Monsiváis.
